Senior Product Integrity Manager

Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve operation workflow, processes and resources, to ensure working effectiveness and efficiency on materials, chemicals and products data and information exchange on data platforms in supporting regulatory and customers’ requirements compliance
  • Lead the Pre-Production meetings, with follow-up as necessary; Manage in-process production inspections including PCBA;  Assess and improve factory quality management systems
  • Assist factory in formulating developing Corrective Action Plans (CAP) as necessary and oversee implementation
  • Handle customers’ and authorities’ enquiries complaints, issues and perform investigations with improvement as required
  • Manage the customers’ data and feedback from websites and monitor the progress and improvement from the team
  • Review and consolidate different (existing and upcoming) regulatory and customers’ requirements with consolidation into VTech’s standards with advices and recommendations on timely implementation as to assure product integrity and compliance
  • Manage the regulatory reporting including US States’ CHCC or related reporting, REACH reporting (such as SCIP), sustainability requirements with follow-up and actions
  • Support global Marketing Team on customers’ request from materials, chemical, products levels and also sustainability perspective, take lead for implementation
  • Prepare, review and sign declaration letters and related documentation (checklist and W.I.) against the regulatory and customers’ requirements
  • Work closed with IQC team in Mainland China for material / component suppliers’ approval/ control, suppliers’ declaration / memo, on-site audit, testing protocols, document check and follow-up for non-compliance issues
  • Frequent travel including Mainland China Dongguan factory and suppliers with close cooperation with Mainland China teams
  • Good interpersonal skills, strong leadership and management skills

Requirements

  • Degree or above in Applied Chemistry, Electronics or related disciplines
  • 10+ years working experience in factory QA/QC, process or production in sizable electronics consumer product or electronic toys industry Understand and familiar with the international / regional / country toys-related safety requirements and other relevant REACH, SVHC, CHCC, California Props 65, etc., retailors’ requirements and program with consolidation and alignment
  • Experience in NGO and voluntary requirements Experience in handling complaints from authorities and customers
  • Experience in sustainability measures with monitoring and improvement
  • Experience in CNAS laboratory operation under ISO/IEC17025 with KPI monitoring and improvement
  • Experience in plastic manufacturing with process and material monitoring and improvement Lean manufacturing is a plus Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, fluent Putonghua is also required
  • Experience in factory and laboratory operation in Mainland China
  • Candidates with less experience is to be considered as manager position
